Directions for Use: The Magiple Breathing Trainer is a highly effective inspiratory muscle trainer, providing an easy and convenient means of increasing the strength and durability of the respiratory muscles.
Step 1 - Prepare your trainer
- Before you begin, ensure that your air resistance trainer is clean.
- Check the Resistance Rotating Knob is in the starting position i.e. at the lowest resistance setting. If not, then rotate the knob ANTI-CLOCKWISE to reach the lowest resistance setting.
Step 2 - Adjust the placement
- Insert the mouthpiece in your mouth so that the two ‘wings’ rest between your teeth and gums. Bite down the inner sides of the mouthpiece with your teeth to hold it in place and form an airtight seal.
- Take a SHARP breath in through the mouthpiece and continue to breathe in as HARD AS YOU CAN until your lungs are FULL, taking care not to breathe in through your nose.
- Finally, breathe out slowly through the mouthpiece until your lungs are completely empty.
Step 3 - Calibrate the Resistance
- If you found the step 2 easy (with the resistance setting at the lowest), then increase the resistance by rotating the KNOB CLOCKWISE (as viewed from the end with the cap) by one revolution and try again, once again making sure you breathe in as SHARPLY as possible.
- Continue this process until you experience a real 'TUG' as you breathe in - this means that you are making your respiratory muscles work harder and you should use this knob position to start your training.
